Stuck in bed for a couple of months as a result of an accident, and suffering from severe physical and mental pain, I found myself creating this album. I needed to occupy myself and find a way to dim the pain. It started with a laptop and a tiny controller, playing around with old ragged classical samples, and ended up with me using the very same setup used while producing the first hip hop tracks in New York during the 80's. A good friend called this project 'a journey through our vast musical past'.

This album is entitled "Painkillers" because it helped me through rough times, brought me comfort, and offered me escape when I needed it most. I hope it brings you the same solace it did me.
